McLaren Drive Event at G42 - 2026
Our marketing employee or general manager usually write these event summaries. But this time around, our customer was so ecstatic with his experience that he beat us to it. Please enjoy reading Jude Kasekamp's experience of the event below.

This past weekend reminded me exactly why I love what I do!
For the second year in a row, McLaren Boston partnered with Garage 42 in Acton, MA, for our spring test drive event. If anything, this one topped the last! We opened the doors to clients from both of our networks, along with some new faces who've had McLaren on their radar or have been curious about what Garage 42 is building out there. The turnout was incredible, and the energy from the start set the tone for the whole weekend.
Let me start with the venue, because Garage 42 deserves its flowers. If you haven't been, picture this: a beautifully designed, immaculate facility where serious car enthusiasts actually live out their passion. It's the kind of space that feels like it was built by people who genuinely love cars. It's not just a showroom, not just a storage facility, not just a clubhouse, but something that combines all three and manages to feel both functional and elevated. Walking through it, you could tell that everyone in attendance felt it too. It was the perfect backdrop!
On the car side, we had the full in-production lineup: GTS, Artura, and 750S. Open roads, decent conditions, and machines that manage to remind you that driving can still feel genuinely extraordinary. There's something about putting a driver in a McLaren for the first time, or watching someone who already owns one fall in love with a new model, that never gets old for me. We weren't just moving metal! We were giving people experiences they'll talk about for a while.
However, the cars weren't even the best part. I know it's cliche, but the best part was the people!
Between the coffee and pastries in the morning, and the sandwiches and the wood-fired pizza in the afternoon, we had two full days of real conversation. I got to chat with clients I've known for a while and actually connect - not over email, not over a quick call, but face-to-face, the way relationships are actually built. I got to meet new people who are passionate about the same things we are, who walked in as prospects or guests and left as people I'm genuinely excited to stay in touch with.
There's a version of the car business where it's purely transactional. This weekend was the opposite of that. It was a reminder that the best part of working in this space is the community itself. The people who show up to these events aren't just buyers. They're car people! And car people have a way of connecting quickly, because our mutual passion does a lot of the heavy lifting.
A big shout-out to our McLaren Boston team for a job well done: Michael Armstrong, Benjamin Nickerson, Keal Collins, Dillon Reedy, and Paul Barton. Thank you to Ryan and Joe, our product advocates, as well.
And to Josh Dumond and his team at Garage 42 - I'm already looking forward to next year!
